Magheracross Parish Choir

Magheracross Parish has a well established choir with a large number of members, singing parts and singing unison.

The choir sings each season, Harvest, Christmas and Easter. They also sing at special occasions, the latest being the 60th anniversary of the Mother's Union and the dedication of their stain-glass window in the church, along with the dedication of the Fisher window. The piece they sang was "Gracious Saviour, who didst honour", tune Himmel written by Mrs E.L. Shirreff, which was a very appropriate piece for that occasion.

The choir also sings at fun events, the last one was the Fashion Show, with more somewhat light-hearted music. They sang, "When I'm sixty-four", "I'm on top of the world" and ""I'd do anything for you" which were enjoyed by all and put a few smiles on faces.

The choir practises are each Wednesday evening at 7.30 in the Church. New members are always very welcome, no experience needed, just come along.

For further information contact Helen McCrea, Joan Quinn or any member of the choir.
